Despite his fitness issues, Martin Odegaard has been called up to his international squad with Norway following the set of fixtures for the weekend. Although Ståle Solbakken, Norway’s manager, says Odegaard’s injury is more serious then what Mikel proclaims.

“We are worried about Martin. He is very doubtful. He has an injury that doesn’t seem to let go. We’ll have to see what happens this week.” – Solbakken said.

“He will be examined even more, then we will see what it brings in terms of matches and playing time. If he doesn’t play, it’s historic. He is the only one who has played all the games for me.”

Norway are eliminated from the Euro 2024 qualification, although there is still a Nations League spot to play for as they face Faroe Islands and Scotland during the international break.
