He came in when the team was struggling at 150/6 and a win looked highly unlikely. Kolkata needed to chase 211 runs for a successful chase when Rinku stepped on the crease.
The left-handed batter scored a blistering 40 runs in a mere 15 balls. Moreover, he smashed two fours and four big sixes to keep the game alive until the last over. Overall, it was a brilliant display from him as he showed what he’s all about in his performance.

Singh’s incredible batting display helped KKR cut the chase when they needed 21 runs off the final over. The scenario eventually came down to KKR needing only five runs off their last three deliveries. However, Stoinis performed his magic and dismissed Singh in the last over. Eventually, KKR’s season came to an end with the loss of his wicket.
Stoinis, meanwhile, also dismissed Umesh Yadav on the penultimate ball of the innings. KKR needed three runs to win and narrowly missed out on a thrilling run chase. It was a box office encounter with the two teams giving their all for a victory.
KKR had a terrible season, and they will undoubtedly need time to process their feelings. Since making his debut for the squad, Singh has proven to be a fantastic batter.

The Lucknow Super Giants reached a huge total of 210 runs in 20 overs. It was thanks to De Kock’s brilliant century (140* off 70) and Rahul’s solid half-century (68* off 51).
In response, Shreyas Iyer and Nitish Rana batted brilliantly to keep the game alive. Furthermore, they also gave a powerful response to LSG’s bowling unit. Their expulsion, though, was a severe setback for KKR and a tremendous breakthrough for LSG. Lucknow were already in peak position, needing only one win to qualify.
Rinku Singh picked up where Iyer and Rana left off. Unfortunately, he fell short of achieving an incredible feat. Nevertheless, he won many hearts with his batting even if he lost the game.
