Maha Navmi and Dushera-

Maha Navmi is the last day of the sacred festival navratri. Maha Navmi is the most important and auspicious day among the all days of navratri. Navratri is a special occasion, a time for new beginning and offering your dedication to reverence to the goddess Shakti (Durga)
Mahanavmi means the great 9th day. This celebrated the day before Ravan Dahan (Dushera).
This day holds importance and significance in Hindus mainly. In Hindu community it is believed that worshiping the goddess on navmi, brings happiness and peace in life for the whole year.
Maha navmi, the last day of navratri festival is dedicated to Mata Siddhidatri.
Mata Siddhidatri is the ninth incarnation of Maa Durga. It is believed that Mata grants all sorts of achievements and capable of giving all sorts of occult powers to their devotees. She has power of fulfilling 26 different wishes of the person who is worshiping her.
It is also said that lord Mahadev has got all those Siddhis by worshiping mata Shakti.
With her gratitude the half body of Lord Shiva becomes that of man Shakti and therefore he was also called as Ardhnarishvar in Hindu Culture.
In the form of one, devotees can worship maa Shakti and lord Shiva at the same time.

With the blessings of mata people can get help to remove ignorance in their life and provides knowledge to her devotees. She is also worshiped by deva, gandharva, asura, yaksha and siddha.
Mata use to sit on lotus flower and rides on the lion. She has four hands, in one hand she has hold the Gada and in other hand a chakra, in other two hands she has hold the lotus flower and shankha.

The Tenth Day Vijaydashmi / Dushera-
On the very second day after the maha navmi, the dushera is been celebrated, which is also known as ‘Vijaydashmi’. It is the symbol of victory of the truth over the evil. In all over India people use to celebrate dushera in their own way.
Dushera is celebrated to symbolize the conquest of good over evil.
