A-B Passers Secondary: March 2023 LET Result

MANILA, Philippines — The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) is expected to release result of March 2023 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) or Teachers board exam on or before May 19, 2023 or in forty (40) working days after the exam. The list of successful examinees who hurdled the exam for Secondary Level given by the Board for Professional Teachers (BPT) is available here once announced.

The massive regular LET was administered on March 19, 2023 in at least 37 testing centers nationwide.

The examination was originally set on March 26, 2023 but was moved on earlier date due to conflict on schedule with the civil service exams.

Testing centers include Manila, Baguio, Bohol, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Dumaguete, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.


PRC also designated additional test centers to accommodate more examinees and avoid unnecessary distant travel: Antique, Bacolod, Bayambang, Calapan, Catanduanes, Cauayan, Digos, General Santos, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Kidapawan, Laguna, Marinduque, Masbate, Mati, Occidental Mindoro, Palawan, Romblon, and Tagum.

The members of the Board for Professional Teachers (BPT) who gave the licensure examination are Dr. Rosita L. Navarro, Chairman; Dr. Paz I. Lucido, Vice Chairman; Dr. Paraluman R. Giron and Dr. Nora M. Uy, Members.

Passers of the recent LET are those who have obtained an average rating of not less than 75% and have no rating lower than 50% in any of the tests.

In accordance with the law, passing the licensure exam and having valid professional license from the Commission are necessary before the practice of teaching profession in the Philippines. Otherwise, those who will violate may face fine and imprisonment based on penal provisions.

REGISTRATION AND OATHTAKING

The schedule for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration for Elementary and Secondary level exams will be posted here once results are out online.

The requirements for the issuance of Certificate of Registration and Professional Identification Card (ID) are the following:
  • Notice of Admission (for identification only)
  • downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
  • two pieces passport size pictures (colored with white background and complete nametag)
  • two sets of documentary stamps
  • 1 piece short brown envelope.

PRC said that successful examinees should PERSONALLY register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The dates of the oathtaking ceremonies of the new successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER.

RELEASE OF RESULTS

Based on the original schedule of LET, per PRC Resolution No. 1589 series of 2022, the target release of March 2023 LET board exam result is 40 working days after the test or can be expected on May 19, 2023.

Several factors such as the total number of examinees, effect of work cancellations due to calamities and unforeseen events and system of checking the pencil-based tests may cause deviation on target release date.

PREVIOUS EXAMS

In the October 2022 massive Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET), PRC was able to release results after fifty-six (56) working days. A total of 71,080 secondary teachers out of 139,534 examinees (50.94%) successfully passed the exams.

In the June 2022 Licensure Exam for Teachers (fourth and final Batch of LET for the postponed board exams in 2020-2021), the PRC released results in 30 working days. The agency named 10,193 secondary teachers out of 20,191 examinees (50.48%) who passed the exams.

During the Batch 3 LET, results were released earlier than expected or only twenty-five (25) days after the exams. PRC named 7,809 secondary teachers out of 18,717 examinees (41.72%) who successfully passed the teachers board exam.

During Batch 2 LET (January 2022), PRC announced results in thirty (30) working days. A total of 12,074 secondary teachers out of 22,454 examinees (53.77%) passed the tests.

During the First Batch of LET (September 2021), PRC released results in forty-seven (47) working days after the exam. A total of 10,318 secondary teachers out of 17,863 examinees (57.76%) successfully hurdled the exams.

In the last teacher's board exam before the pandemic (September 2019), PRC released results in fifty (50) working days. A total of 54,179 secondary teachers out of 136,523 examinees (39.68%) passed the exams.
