The hearing of the bail petition of Virbhadra Singh’s close Aide Anand Chauhan, arrested in the money-laundering case against the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and his family, was on Saturday put off to August 16.

Chauhan was arrested on July 9 in Chandigarh by the Enforcement Directorate after he did not cooperate with the agency.

His role in the alleged crime was considered important as he deposited Rs 6 crore single premium policy of Mr. Singh with the LIC from his own bank account.
