The infamous Hotel Algarrobico: the twenty-storey monster that was not quite finished in Carboneras Almería when an order from far-off Seville came to halt work and dismantle, will after many years, finally be demolished (well, one of these days anyway). But right now, the owners and the Junta de Andalucía are in agreement that the value of the building must be agreed on before any potential indemnity to the owners can be set. Azata del Sol, who built the hotel and own the estate, are asking for seventy million euros of public funds in compensation.
Add that to the cost of the demolition and regeneration works.
