On the Precipice

The world is racing toward the cliff at breakneck speed, like a bat out of hell, and the most painful thing to watch is that the answers for why, when, and how are readily available in that dusty old book that sits unread and untouched on so many shelves the world over, yet few—even Christians—realize.

A revelation of Jesus Christ that God gave to Him to show to His servants what things must quickly come to pass . . . (Rev. 1:1, LSV)

When it comes to prophetic awareness (i.e., "watching": Mt. 24:42–51; Rev. 3:3), there is a healthy middle ground that the church has historically failed to maintain: eagerly watching for Christ's return with faith in His prophetic promises without resorting to "thus saith the LORD" predictions. In other words, avoiding the two extremes: "no one can ever know" on one end, and "Tuesday at 2 o'clock" on the other. Most of the church has been lulled to sleep by normalcy bias (2 Pt. 3:3–7); yet on the other side, a vocal minority have appointed themselves prophets and speak when the LORD hasn't spoken. These two extremes are often accompanied by many false teachings and false gospels.

As watchmen firmly rooted in Christ, with eyes wide open, we must press on with full assurance and firm conviction, "and so much the more as you see the Day coming near" (Heb. 10:25). Ironically, our message—the Gospel—is extremely simple, and our mission clear: share the Good News with as many as possible while there are still a few fleeting moments left (Mt. 28:18-20; Acts 1:8). Yet how many have we witnessed these past number of years "tossed to and fro" (Eph. 4:14, ESV) by divisive and false teachings, entrapped by the cunningness of others? My brothers and sisters are the ones who have remained steadfast under trial, who have held unswervingly to the truth of the Gospel while eagerly "waiting for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ" (Tit. 2:13, LSV). Regardless of our circumstances, and regardless of the spiritual infidelity of others, we will press on.

The signs are evident that this is the final generation; moreover, the final generation is reaching its end. While it's sensible to avoid specific date predictions, it's also utter blindness not to recognize that this is the season of Christ's return (see here, here, here, here, here, here, and here). Count your lucky stars it's not some other generation! This is great news for those who know Jesus, but frightening news for those who do not.

I have long suspected that as we draw nearer to the trumpet call, the world would look increasingly fit for the Tribulation, yet we would not witness large-scale war in the Middle East or Nuclear war between the East and West—these are things reserved for The Time of Jacob's Trouble, the 70th Week of Daniel (e.g., Ps. 83; Ezek. 38–39; Rev. 6:3–4). The world certainly looks primed in every conceivable way: CBDCs are being rolled out this year, Global Recession is imminent (Rev. 6:5–6), AI has gone mainstream (cf. Rev. 13:15), Mark of the Beast technology is ready in the form of QR codes, microneedle patches, quantum-dot tattoos, and Neuralink, and the globalist aristocracy is nearing seven years out from their coveted 2030 date for global governance and world transformation.

Despite my aforementioned suspicion, it's becoming increasingly difficult to see how the world holds itself together for even weeks or months:

1. Iran has crossed every red line Israel has. The Hill now reports that Iran has enough enriched uranium for at least three nuclear warheads, and that was as of three months ago!

Now, according to a February 2023 official International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) report to the United Nations Security Council, Iran has portentously amassed a stockpile of 193 pounds of U-235 enriched to 60 percent, or enough mass to produce three full-scale atomic weapons. It has also, alarmingly, demonstrated a menacing capacity to enrich U-235 particles to 83.7 percent. Equally disconcerting was 'two cascades of IR-6 centrifuges at Iran’s Fordo facility' were 'configured' to facilitate reaching a weaponized grade of 90 percent.

Iran clearly knows now how to unlock the doors to a nuclear Armageddon. There is a growing sense in Israel that Jerusalem is quickly running out of time to prevent Iran from becoming a regional nuclear power. Moreover, it is highly likely that, as part of Tehran’s partnership to supply Russian President Vladimir Putin with drones for use in Ukraine, Moscow is helping Iran overcome the last of several remaining technical obstacles to producing, weaponizing, delivering and detonating a nuclear bomb.

Israel recently struck Gaza and is apparently about to strike Hezbollah in Lebanon in preparation for open war with Iran. What has been decades in the making is now here.

2. U.S. senators have suddenly been issued satellite phones for emergency communication in apparent preparation for telecommunication failures and impending disasters of unspecified sort.

3. The Russian leadership is now making direct nuclear threats on Europe; this via the former Russian President, Dmitry Medvedev:

Europe has lost its mind. The US usually acts according to its pragmatic interests, they don't fight themselves, they just make money. As for Europe, for me it's an amazing story. They constantly heat up and enthuse the situation with their decisions. In this situation they will supply planes to the Kiev regime. More than that, they might also give the Ukrainians nuclear weapons.

But then that means a missile with a nuclear warhead will reach them, and there are irreversible laws of war. If it is a nuclear weapon, a pre-emptive strike would be necessary. The Anglo-Saxons don't quite get it and think it won't come to that. It will happen, under certain conditions.

4. This Pentecost Sunday ends 21 days of concerted prayer for Israel by millions of Christians for God to finally fulfill His promises to Israel. What if God answers these prayers? What if invoking God actually begins the process of Israel's redemption?

The call to pray begins May 7th and runs through the 28th. Bickle says the response to this call has now gone viral, and global.

'Well, it’s blown up on us and we did not understand ... we quit counting at the 1 million mark about April 1st, three weeks after giving this call, and there’s thousands of ministries participating at this point in time,' he said, and added, 'I’m guessing well over 5 million will participate.'

The scripture chosen for the time of prayer is Isaiah, Chapter 62.

'I don’t know any chapter that has more divine information about God’s purpose for Jerusalem than Isaiah 62,' Bickle explained.

Bickle believes that number may eventually grow to as many as 100 million Christians praying for Israel. The initiative will culminate on the Southern Steps of Jerusalem’s Temple Mount on the day of Pentecost, (the Jewish day of Shavuot), May 28th.

I can't, with any reasonable level of confidence, speculate on a day, but I recently expressed my personal belief that this past fall began the final four years of the Church Age. That is not to say the ship stays afloat even that long; rather, any of these four years could be the year of the trumpet—the year of the open door in Heaven (Rev. 4:1; cf. Rev. 3:8–10; Isa. 26:19–21; Jn. 14:1–3). Normalcy bias makes it exceedingly hard for many to entertain this possibility, but God's prophetic promises are not delayed. His promises will not fail. His plan has a definite end—the prophetic scenario will not be some far-off distant future forever. It's here and now.
