BJP accuses AAP of involvement in Nuh violence due to association with Javed Ahmed

The violence in Nuh and Gurugram has spread to different parts of Haryana, leading to a heated political response. The Delhi BJP is aggressively criticizing the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) after Javed Ahmed, who is associated with AAP, was linked to the Nuh violence. The BJP is demanding that Javed Ahmed be removed from AAP.

Delhi BJP state president Virendra Sachdeva accused AAP leaders of being involved in previous riots. He mentioned Tahir Hussain, an AAP leader who was involved in the 2020 Delhi riots, and Mohammad Ansar, who led the 2022 riots in Delhi’s Jahangirpuri. Sachdeva claimed that although the leaders may have different faces, they are all connected to AAP. He also highlighted the case of Nisha Singh, an AAP member who incited a mob to attack the Gurugram police in 2016.

Sachdeva criticized the Congress for not responding to the case against Javed Ahmed and accused both parties of colluding with each other. He compared it to the lack of action against Jagdish Tytler, who is accused of the 1984 Sikh riots. Sachdeva called for the immediate dismissal of Javed Ahmed and Jagdish Tytler, emphasizing their connection.

The AAP defended Javed Akhtar and claimed that he was falsely implicated in the case. Dr. Sushil Gupta, the party’s state president and Rajya Sabha member, stated that Javed Ahmed was in Punhana at the time of the incident and there is CCTV footage to prove it. Gupta accused the BJP of trying to create turmoil in Haryana, similar to Manipur.

Anurag Dhanda, the AAP’s senior vice president, provided CCTV footage and claimed that the police already had the mobile location data. Dhanda called for a comprehensive investigation into the incident and accused government officials of being involved in the violence. He also mentioned that 100 police officers were called out of the district on the day of the riot, supposedly for security reasons, and the Superintendent of Police was placed on leave.
