The history of La Mamounia dates back to the 18th century when the Alaouite Sultan Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdallah offered a sumptuous 13-hectare orchard as a wedding gift to his son, Prince Al Mamoun, who turned it into a place of pleasure for garden parties of anthology.
