As the lower court rejected the closure report, Raja Bhaiya approached the High Court. Raja Bhaiya was released after the High Court accepted the closure report. In which Parveen appealed against him, an inquiry order has been issued against Raja Bhaiya.

The order of inquiry against Raja Bhaiya has created excitement in UP politics. After Yogi Adityanath's government came to power in UP, gangsters-cum-politicians associated with anti-BJP parties are being purged one after another or pressured to convert. Atiq Ahmad is brought up while Mukhtar Ansari is eating the jail air. Many other alleged gangsters of the anti-BJP party have also taken the turn while surrendering gangster-cum-leaders like Amarmani Tripathi have been convicted in the murder case.

It is said that Raja Bhaiya is now on Yogi's trail as Raja Bhaiya has a strong influence in Pratapgarh district. Raja Bhaiya is one of the most dangerous politician-cum-gangsters in UP. Raja Bhaiya is currently an MLA of his self-founded Jansatta Dal Loktantric Party but has been associated with Akhilesh Yadav's Samajwadi Party for years. Elected to the Legislative Assembly for seven consecutive terms from the Kunda assembly seat of UP, Raja Bhaiya has also served as a minister in the government of Mulayam Singh Yadav and Akhilesh Yadav.

The rivalry between Mayawati and Raja Bhaiya is well known but Raja Bhaiya's relationship with BJP is not bad at all. The reason for the enmity with Mayawati is that in 1997, Raja Bhaiya saved BJP's Kalyan Singh government when Mayawati withdrew support after betraying the BJP.

Raja Bhaiyya brought down Mayawati's BSP and Congress MLAs. By his strength, Kalyan Singh's government survived and Raja Bhaiya became a minister. Mayawati took it to heart that Raja Bhaiyya sabotaged her party and the enmity started from then. Raja Bhaiya was a minister in the BJP government, so even though he fought against the BJP, the relations did not deteriorate. Raja Bhaiya has a good relationship with Yogi Adityanath because when Raja Bhaiya was released from jail in 2013, Yogi was one of the leaders who went to meet him.
