Addressing a water conservation and promotion workshop organized under the Jal Jeevan Mission, Mishra said that even if a government says that we will waive water tax, we have to pay water tax because the water level is decreasing, the rivers are drying up. There is no water left on earth yet we are wasting water.

The BJP leader also believes that talking about saving water is fine but talking about intoxicating it is a show of intelligence. Earlier, Mishra had said that those who spread filth and obstruct the work of government and sanitation should be hanged. Such people have no right to live. '
