Not a bad life

I don't have a Bad Life. I was in Portugal 2 weeks ago, drinking Port wine and eating some of the best seafood and fish I've ever had. And champagne sangria - which I highly recommend. In a hostel, with my beloved cousin, spending quality time together.

2 weeks later I'm in Berlin. I'm having the best Weissbier, Pilsner and Swartzbier. Germany is so clean. London is not. And a lot of people smoke on the continent still. Germane are HOT. And they ride fast, proper motorcycles, not mopeds.

I'm on my own in a 5 star hotel with a great park view, near the Brandenburg gate. Amazing. To think that my parents only got out of communism and were able to travel (with restrictions and visas but still travel) only when they were 36.

I'm deeply grateful and aware of the Amazing Life that I have. A life that many other languages before didn't have. A life that my grandmother for example cannot even dream of or imagine because it's that far away from her real life.

The opportunities that my parents always pushed me and helped me towards are here. The ambitions that they had for me are now being fulfilled.

At 31, I have an amazing life. And I am truly grateful to my wonderful parents who have always been an inspiration, enabling me to do everything that I have done and everything that I will ever do.
