Disturbances During Milad un Nabi Processions in Hyderabad

On Sunday, October 1, two different cases of disturbance were recorded during Milad un Nabi processions in Hyderabad, causing tensions in several areas of the city.

The first incidence occurred in Ziaguda, when police detained numerous young people for shouting “Jai Shri Ram” during a Milad un Nabi march. Kulsumpura police responded quickly after a video of the event went popular on social media. At least six people were arrested for causing disruptions during the march.

The incident occurred during the Milad un Nabi festivities in the morning, when a group of young people staged a bike rally. They came to a halt on Kulsumpura Road and began chanting slogans and waving flags. In response, another group of kids gathered nearby, waving saffron flags and yelling “Jai Shri Ram.” Fortunately, the situation calmed down, and the Muslim teenagers soon left the area.

In a second incident in Hussainialam, Milad un Nabi protest participants allegedly smashed a flower pot placed outside a temple at Golla Khidkhi. Local locals believe that the police did not offer appropriate protection, and that their incompetence led to the catastrophe. No arrests have been made in relation with this event as of yet.

These occurrences occurred during the Milad un Nabi festivities in Hyderabad and are now being investigated. The police are striving to guarantee that such incidents do not disturb the city’s communal harmony and peaceful cohabitation.

The occurrences emphasize the necessity of preserving law and order during religious processions, as well as the need for preemptive efforts to prevent any disruptions that might potentially lead to communal conflicts. Authorities are required to take the appropriate steps to rectify these concerns and ensure the safety of all citizens in the future during such events.
