The Consecration Rituals for the Ram temple in Ayodhya, India have begun with an 'akshat puja'. The puja involves the worship of 100 quintals of rice mixed with turmeric and ghee. This rice will be distributed among 90 post holders of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) who have gathered from across the country. The VHP members will then distribute the rice across the nation before January 22. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is overseeing the consecration ceremony.
