Harish Rao Slams Kharge and Amit Shah as ‘Political Tourists’ in Telangana

Telangana’s Finance Minister Harish Rao, called Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Union Home Minister Amit Shah “political tourists.” He highlighted that the people of Telangana had already made their decision by voting for the BRS party for a third straight term in office, and their announcements would have no effect on that.

Rao pointed out that Kharge’s promises to the SC/ST groups had not even been fulfilled in his own home state of Karnataka, and that people in Karnataka had grown disillusioned with the BJP, contributing to the Congress’ success there.

Rao claimed that Union Minister Amit Shah lacks proper knowledge about Telangana and gives rehearsed statements. He asked Shah to handle the difficulties in his own state of Gujarat before commenting on the national situation.

Rao emphasized the substantial initiatives done by the KCR government to empower Dalits in Telangana, including scholarships and the construction of an Ambedkar statue. He contended that neither the Congress nor the BJP have the moral right to debate Dalit welfare problems because states run by both parties frequently confront communal events as well as issues with electricity and water delivery. Based on his government’s accomplishments, he expressed confidence that KCR will be re-elected for a third term as Chief Minister
