Tel Aviv: Lebanon also joined the war on Sunday, a day after a surprise attack by the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas on the day of Simchat Torah, the holiest festival of the Jews in Israel. Lebanon, another staunch enemy of Israel, launched attacks on three locations in Israel, including Tel Aviv, on Sunday morning. This new attack has widened the war and Israel is now fighting on two fronts. So far, more than 600 Israeli citizens have been killed in Hamas attacks, while more than 400 Palestinians, including Hamas terrorists, have been killed in Israel's counter-attacks. However, more than 500 Hamas terrorists have infiltrated southern Israel and a war is still going on between them and the Israeli army. Hamas fired more than 150 rockets into Tel Aviv on Sunday. In retaliation, Israel continued airstrikes on Hamas positions in the Gaza Strip on Sunday. Israeli warplanes blew up the head of Hamas's intelligence department and a military base on Sunday.
In this fight between Hamas and Israel, Hezbollah, an Iran-backed terrorist organization based in Lebanon, has also started shelling Israel. Now fighting a dual battle against Hamas and Hezbollah, Israel has launched a retaliatory attack against Lebanon as well. Israel's military said it had shelled several areas in Lebanon. Along with this, Hezbollah terrorists have fired rockets and mortars. Israel has retaliated with drone strikes.

A house-to-house search operation has been launched to find Hamas terrorists in several cities, including the Gaza Strip. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned Hamas that it has launched a "horrendous war" and that the Israel Security Forces (IDF) will use its full might to eliminate them. Netanyahu has warned residents to leave the Gaza Strip. The United Nations agency working in Palestine said more than 20,000 civilians have fled the Gaza Strip and sought refuge in UN schools in the wake of the war.
