Ankara, 5 October 2023, Thursday
Enraged after the terrorist attack near the parliament in Ankara, the capital of Turkey, Turkey has taken the road to India and started an air strike on the Kurdish rebels.
Turkey claims to have destroyed 22 hideouts of Kurdish rebels. Turkey said that air strikes were carried out in the areas of Kurdish people in northern Iraq. However, the amount of damage to life and property has not been revealed.
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fida threatened attacks on Kurdish areas in Syria and Iraq after Kurdish rebels fighting against Turkey claimed responsibility for the explosion near Turkey's parliament.
He said that the two suicide bombers who came to attack the parliament came from Syria and were given special training for the attack.
Turkey and Kurdistan have a long-standing dispute. After the Second World War, countries like Syria, Iraq, Iran, Turkey and Armenia were separated. It is said that the population of Kurds in these countries is about three and a half million. Kurdish people are demanding a separate country for themselves. Kurdish militant groups claim that part of the breakaway country belongs to Turkey, and Turkey and the Kurdish community have clashed over it for years.
