Journey from Punjab to becoming a Khalistan terrorist in Canada...Know Hardeep Singh Nijjar's Crime Kundli

The death of Hardeep Singh Nijjar has strained relations between India and Canada. Trade relations between the two countries have also deteriorated. It is interesting to know how a Nijjar who grew up in the soil of Punjab became a Khalistani terrorist. Hardeep Singh Nijjar was a resident of Bhar Singh Pura village in Jalandhar, Punjab. From early days he had ties with local gangsters.

Who was influenced by?

Influenced by Gurnek Singh Neka in the 1980s and 90s, he went on to become a gangster. First he joined the Khalistan Commando Force (KCF) militants and later became a close associate of Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF) chief Jagtar Singh Tara from 2012.

He fled to Canada on a fake passport

When Hardeep Singh Nijjar's name started appearing in many terrorist activities, he fled to Canada on a fake passport in 1996. Nijjar started working as a truck driver in Canada, so that he would not be noticed due to his low profile. Later he came in contact with KTF chief Jagtar Singh Tara in Pakistan.

He also went to Pakistan

Disguised as a member of the Baisakhi group, Nijjar visited Pakistan in April 2012 and underwent weapons and explosives training in Pakistan for about 14 days. After returning to Canada, Nijjar started raising money for terrorist activities through his associates engaged in drug and arms smuggling. Nijjar along with Jagtar Singh Tara started planning terrorist attacks in Punjab and formed a gang in Canada, consisting of Mandeep Singh Dhaliwal, Sarabjit Singh, Anupveer. Singh and Darshan Singh Fauji were involved.

Also trained in weapons

Nijjar underwent firearms training in December 2015 in British Columbia, Canada. In 2014, Nijjar planned a terrorist attack on the Dera Sacha Sauda headquarters in Sirsa, Haryana but could not reach India. Nijjar instructed his module to target former DGP Mohammad Izhar Alam, Punjab-based Shiv Sena leader Nishant Sharma and Baba Mansingh Pehowawale. Nijjar joined hands with Punjab gangster Arshdeep Singh Gill alias Arsh Dala to carry out terrorist activities in Punjab.

Created an atmosphere of terror behind the scenes

In the year 2020, Nijjar assigned Arshdeep the responsibility of killing Manohar Lal Arora and Jatinderbir Singh Arora, a father-son duo known for carrying out Khalista activities. Manohar Lal was shot dead at his residence in Bathinda on November 20 but his son escaped from there. Nijjar sent money from Canada to Arshdeep to kill both of them. In the year 2021, Hardeep Singh Nijjar assigned Arshdeep the task of killing a priest of his own village Bhar Singh Pura, however the priest survived. In this way Nijjar created an atmosphere of terror in Punjab behind the scenes in Canada.
