Protests are still going on at Jantar-Mantar in Delhi against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president Brijbhushan Sharan Singh. Coach Mahavir Singh Phogat, who received the Dronacharya Award in support of the protesting wrestlers, on Friday demanded the arrest of Brijbhushan Sharan Singh and threatened to return the award if justice is not served.
Veteran wrestlers on strike from April 23
Bajrang Poonia along with Vinosh Phogat and Sakshi Malik have been on a sit-in since April 23. Indian women wrestlers have accused Indian Wrestling Federation president Brijbhushan Sharan Singh of sexual harassment. Following the Supreme Court's order, Delhi Police has registered 2 FIRs against Brijbhushan.
Demand to arrest Brijbhushan
Wrestlers including Olympic medalists Sakshi Malik and Bajrang Poonia, World Championship medalist Vines Phogat have been on a sit-in in Delhi since April 23. The wrestlers are demanding the arrest of the WFI president and the BJP MP who are facing charges of alleged sexual harassment.

Mahavir Phogat said that if justice is not served in this matter, I will return my medals. He should be prosecuted and arrested for the charges against him. Phogat, who joined the BJP three years ago, was asked whether he had spoken to the government or raised the issue at the party level. So he replied that no such thing happened... Even the protesting wrestlers have threatened to return medals and awards including Padma Shri.

Meanwhile, many people from Haryana have supported the wrestlers. Many people from Hisar, Bhiwani, Jind and Rohtak are also demonstrating in support of the wrestlers. Mahavir Phogat is the father of wrestlers Geeta and Babita Phogat and uncle of Vinesh Phogat. The wrestlers say that until they get justice, the show will continue. On the other hand, Geeta Phogat, who is supporting these wrestlers, said that they were stopped from going to Delhi... Delhi Police stopped their vehicle at the border itself.
