One of the leading car manufacturers Tata Motors has finally launched its much-awaited electric version of Tiago. The company has introduced the vehicle at the starting price of Rs 8.49 lakh. Interested customers now can book the EV by visiting the authorized showroom or they can use the company’s official website for the same.

The newly launched Tiago EV model gets the blue finish from the front grille, covering the fog lamp housing. The hatchback also gets the blanked-off grille in gloss black under which customers gets the EV badging, tri-arrow pattern, and projector headlamps.

The vehicle comes with the features like sport mode, linked car technology, leatherette seats, fully automatic air conditioning, a cooled glove box, and i-TPMS. Fast charging technology, cruise control, multi-mode regen, and ZConnect capabilities are also included on the new Tata Tiago EV. The majority of the functionality are also present in the standard ICE model. It has voice commands, a height-adjustable driver seat, a rear defogger, a rear parking camera, a multi-functional steering wheel, electrically adjustable ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, and an eight-speaker Harman music system.

The new Tiago electric, which has a Ziptron powertrain, is built on the same architecture as the Tigor EV. It comes with two battery packs, rated at 24kWh and 19.2kWh.

Initially, the company claimed a range of 315km. Later denied and it is will give a range 250km. Talking about the power, the long-range version generates 115Nm of torque and 55kW or 74bhp of power. The limited-range version offers 105Nm of torque and 45kW or 60bhp of power.
