Oven Dry-Rub Pork Tenderloin

You can create your own homemade BBQ sauce instead of depending on store-bought BBQ sauce as marinade to make this Pork Tenderloin Protein Bowl. Another alternative to easy homemade "marinade" is a dry-rub seasoning to flavor up oven-roasted pork tenderloin.


This dry-rub is made from bottled spices available in the pantry e.g. garlic powder, ginger powder, ground black pepper, dried oregano. Feel free to use your favorite spices and create your own dry-rub and flavors.


Enjoy these sliced pork tenderloin with brown rice or quinoa or couscous, and don't forget a variety of vegetables to keep your protein bowls interesting. If you make protein bowls regularly, switching up whole grains and vegetables is definitely one way to make good meal habits stick.
Dry-Rub Pork Tenderloin
Ingredients:
1-1.5lbs pork tenderloin
[Dry rub]: 1tbsp garlic powder, salt, black pepper, dried herbs, salt
Add dry rub ingredients to pork tenderloin in a re-sealable plastic bag, then add olive oil, "massage" and coat the pork evenly with dry-rub and oil. Marinate at least an hour.

Directions:
Preheat oven 400F. Place marinated pork on baking sheet. Roast pork for 20-25mins (if roast at 375F, it will take about 30-40mins), basting with marinade halfway through roasting. When pork cooks to internal temperature 145F, remove from oven and allow it to rest for 3-5 mins.
