Super Easy and Delicious Alkaline Keto Salads for a Healthy Clean Food Lifestyle

Are you looking for simple, delicious and nutritious Alkaline-rich recipes you can quickly put together, even on a busy schedule? Readers, friends, and clients who come to me for an effective and easy to follow self-care plan always fall in love with alkaline keto salads! Why? Because they are very easy to stick to, even on a busy schedule. At the same time, they leave some room to play. Why?

What is “Alkaline”?

To keep it as simple as possible, alkaline means:

-naturally gluten-free

-naturally sugar-free

-super packed in nutrients

-preferably plant-based or almost plant-based

-rich in good fats

So, an alkaline Diet, is basically a clean food diet rich in plant-based foods (mostly vegetables, greens, and low sugar fruit), nuts, seeds, and good oils. It can be fully plant-based, or almost plant-based.

I dive deeper into different kinds of an alkaline diet in my blog post:

Is Alkaline the Same as Vegan?

As well as in: Is It Alkaline? A Simple Intuitive Approach to Alkaline Foods

Creating a Healthy, Balanced, Alkaline Lifestyle (without feeling deprived)

To live a healthy, balanced lifestyle, most alkaline diet experts recommend an 80/20, or even 70/30 rule. It’s as simple as making about 70-80% of your diet rich in alkaline foods (lots of veggies, low sugar fruit, nutrient-packed plant-based foods etc.)

The remaining 20-30% part can be other, not necessarily alkaline foods. However, the 20-30% part of your diet should still be healthy and clean.

What I really like about this rule, is that it gives some space for experimentation. You can easily combine the alkaline diet with other healthy, clean food diet you enjoy. For example, you can do alkaline paleo, alkaline keto, alkaline Mediterranean etc.

You can also do a balanced, alkaline-plant-based diet (a topic for another post). You see, eating 100% alkaline all the time, is not really doable as it is very restrictive. A hardcore 100% alkaline diet is even more restrictive than a “normal” vegan diet or a plant-based diet. This is because, a hardcore alkaline diet says no to most fruits, fermented foods etc. Such an approach works great for a short period of time, for example, an alkaline cleanse.

You can read more about it in my previous post: Alkaline Cleanse vs the 80/20 Alkaline Lifestyle.

Personally, I am a big fan of a flexible and balanced 80/20 Alkaline Lifestyle (plus at least 2 solid alkaline cleanses a year, there is nothing to be afraid of, you will feel so much better after doing them).

Everyone is different and so your ideal diet will be different than mine. But, everyone can benefit from enriching their diets with a ton of veggies (aka “alkaline foods”).

What is “Keto” and “Keto-Alkaline” or “Alkaline Keto”?

To put it simply, a keto approach to eating is based on a low-carb and high-fat diet. There are different kinds of keto. For example, there is a meat-based keto diet. And there is also a plant-based or almost plant-based keto diet.

A more plant-based keto diet very often overlaps with an alkaline diet- it likes greens, fresh veggies, good, healthy fats, and oils. At the same time, it doesn’t like sugar, sugary fruit or excess carbs (especially processed carbs).

When it comes to carbs, keto diets are much more restrictive than alkaline diets (alkaline diets are OK with quality carbs, like quinoa or sweet potatoes; but these are off keto diets).

Again, as always- everyone is different, and the most important thing is to figure out what works for you!

Why Alkaline Keto Salads Are So Awesome

Alkaline keto salads- is where alkaline and keto diet meet in order to create simple, delicious and nutrient-packed recipes to help you look and FEEL amazing!

Rich in greens, good fats and oils as well as quality protein – you can never go wrong with that.

Especially that they taste delicious and you can easily make them in 15 minutes or less!

My Alkaline-Inspired Diet Broken Down

The diet that works for me is a clean-food, nutrient-packed, unprocessed diet. About 70-80% of my diet is alkaline-rich foods. Most of my diet is plant-based (I would say, about 95-98%) and I love plant-based foods and recipes.

But I also consume some quality animal products here and there (mostly organic eggs and fish). That balance works great for me, and my energy levels and health (based on regular blood work I do) confirm that. I also find it easy to follow.

I definitely avoid gluten, processed foods, lactose, and sugar.

Since, I focus on eating unprocessed, nutrient-rich foods and I also schedule regular relaxation (meditation, yoga and other self-care activities), avoiding what I know is not good for me is a lot easier (because my body, mind, and soul feel at balance).

(to be honest and transparent here with you guys, I am not a “holistic god” and I also have my struggles- but the more I do what I do, the easier it gets!). So, if you are just getting started on this journey- be good on yourself and don’t feel overwhelmed…

Anyway, I will be writing more posts to share more details about my diet and lifestyle, to give you more inspiration. My intention is to ALWAYS- help you find YOUR OWN way. Your unique way, because everyone is different.

There is no one size fits all…But, there are many patterns that have proven to work for a lot of people. Deep inside we know that clean, unprocessed, green, fresh etc. is good for us.

The common challenge is “how do I do this? And how do I do this on my busy schedule?”.

I can totally relate to this and so I am always coming up with new recipes, tips and simple solutions you and your loved ones can apply right here, right now.

So now, let’s dive into the recipes…

The Alkaline YOU Diet

Or, it can be Alkaline-YOU. Your own variation of the alkaline diet, based on the simple principle of making around 70-80% of your diet rich in nutrient-packed, alkaline foods.

This is exactly what I teach in my online course, the Alkaline Diet Lifestyle. I teach flexibility, intuition, long-term health mindset, and variety. I stay away from restriction, hype, “nutritional dogma”, or “Hollier than thou”. There is no bashing/shaming. Whatever your nutritional choices are, my goal is to simply help you add more alkaline foods into your diet and help you create long-term transformation and new, empowering health habits.

The reason why I mention my course is that I will be re-opening it soon…I am pretty busy right now, and I was going to re-open it in 2020. But, since many people have been asking me about it, I might be re-opening it again very soon.

If you would like to learn more about it (there is no obligation to join), be sure to join the VIP waiting list here. When you sign up for the waiting list you will be the first one to be notified when it re-opens.
