3 Irresistible Fully Alkaline Protein Smoothies for All-Day Energy

I am very excited to be sharing my top 3 Alkaline Protein Smoothies for optimal energy. They are very quick to make (even for beginners) and will fuel your body with a myriad of nutrients. They also use some awesome herbal teas to be more effective! Alkaline Protein Smoothies will fill you up, and taste delicious. They are also compatible with alkaline cleanses (they are 100% alkaline). You can also use them on a flexible, balanced 80/20, or 70/30 alkaline lifestyle, especially if you feel you need more energy and a ton of superfoods. Now, it’s time to dive into our alkaline protein smoothie recipes for total balance and vibrant health!

Alkaline Protein Smoothie #1 Creamy Green Smoothie

This simple, alkaline smoothie that can also be served as a nourishing raw soup.

Cucumbers are real alkaline superfoods that are very often overlooked.  Yet, they offer both vitamin C and vitamin A as well as alkaline minerals such as magnesium, potassium, and manganese.

Arugula adds a nice, slightly spicy taste and makes this smoothie a proper green smoothie.

Serves: 1-2

Ingredients

  • 2 big cucumbers, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup fresh arugula leaves
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled
  • 1 cup coconut milk or almond milk, unsweetened
  • A few slices of avocado
  • 1 tablespoon hemp seed protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon chia seed powder
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • Pinch of Himalayan salt
  • A small handful of fresh cilantro leaves to garnish

Instructions

  1. Place in a blender and process until smooth.
  2. Serve in a smoothie glass as a smoothie, or in a small soup bowl. Garnish with fresh cilantro.

Alkaline Protein Smoothie #2 Feel Lighter Herbal Smoothie

This smoothie uses horsetail infusion, a natural remedy aimed at reducing water retention and speeding up detoxification.

Ginger makes this smoothie taste interesting while adding some anti-inflammatory properties too. Grapefruit brings some vitamin C and alkaline minerals to the table, while the coconut milk makes the whole blend nice and creamy.

Serves: 2

Ingredients

  • 1 cup horsetail infusion, cooled down (use 1 tea bag per cup)
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 2 grapefruits, peeled and cut into smaller pieces
  • 1-inch ginger
  • 2 tablespoons chia seed powder
  • Optional: stevia to sweeten
  • Optional: a few ice cubes
  • A slice of lime to serve

Instructions

  1. Blend all the ingredients in a blender.
  2. Serve in a smoothie glass and garnish with a slice of lime.
  3. If needed, sweeten with stevia and add some ice cubes for optimal refreshment.

Alkaline Protein Smoothie #3 Creamy Anti-Oxidant Herbal Smoothie

Rooibos is considered an alkaline tea, because of its high mineral and antioxidant content. In fact, it’s one of my favorite teas, and it appears quite often in my recipes, especially in my book Alkaline Teas.

It blends well with ginger, turmeric and refreshing, vitamin C-packed grapefruit.

Serves: 2

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of rooibos tea, cooled down (use 1 teabag per cup)
  • Half cup almond or coconut milk
  • 1 inch ginger, peeled
  • 1 -inch turmeric, peeled (orange nails- remember to get kitchen gloves…)
  • 1 big grapefruit, peeled and cut into smaller chunks
  • A handful of almonds, raw and soaked in water for at least a few hours
  • A few lime or lemon slices to garnish

Instructions

  1. Place all the ingredients in a blender.
  2. Process well until smooth.
  3. Pour into a smoothie glass and garnish with some lime or lemon slices.
  4. Enjoy!

Small actions + consistency = big transformations.

You don’t need to be perfect, just keep moving forward.
