Alkaline Smoothie Formula (super tasty!) to Help You Enjoy More Energy Naturally!

I am so excited to be sharing my simple, superfood Alkaline Smoothie Template with You! It will make your life so much easier. You will have a proven formula to create nutririous and delicious smoothies that are: dairy-free, gluten-free, very low in sugar and, at the same time- high in minerals and vitamins. We will also be sneaking in a myriad of common-sense, easily accessible (but very often overlooked) superfoods to help you boost your wellbeing and get closer to your health goals.

My Simple, Alkaline Smoothie Formula Template Revealed

If you have been following me and my books for a while, you already know this.

If you haven’t- the time is now!

When I say “alkaline”, for example “alkaline foods”, or “alkaline smoothies” I refer to foods and drinks that are sugar-free, gluten-free, dairy-free (pretty much free of everything lol!), plant-based and super high in nutrients. For example- vegetables, greens or fruit low in sugar.

The stuff you already know is good for You, The question is-how to incorporate all those amazing foods into your diet? The answer is simple- smoothies!

Please note- the goal of eating (or drinking) more alkaline foods is NOT to raise or change your pH. Our body self-regulates our pH for us. The pH of most of our crucial cellular and other body fluids, like blood, is designed to be at a pH of 7.365 which is slightly alkaline.

An interesting thing is that our body, as long as it is blessed with the gift of life, will continuously keep working to regulate our pH (whether we eat a healthy diet rich in alkaline foods or not).

The problem? It’s up to us to make it easier or harder for our body…

We can totally choose what we eat. But…if we focus on unhealthy choices, for example the Standard Western Diet with its overload of sugars, processed carbohydrates, dairy, soda, too many animal products, and fast food we make it more and more difficult for our body to stay in balance.

But, by eating a clean diet, rich in healthy, nutrient-rich foods we make it easier for our body to stay in balance and pay us back with vibrant health.

This post focuses more on a practical side of things- I really want you to take action!

Alkaline Smoothies to Get You Closer to Your Wellness Goals

If you’re looking for an easy and effective way to enrich your lifestyle with a ton of nourishing, alkaline foods…so that you can enjoy more energy the vibrant health, my #1 recommendation is – focus on smoothies. Alkaline Smoothies!

It’s really incredible what this simple daily micro habit can do for your wellbeing!

And, if you can get your smoothie in early in the morning, or at least till midday, wow, it’s such a great feeling that will set you up for the rest of the day. It really makes you feel confident.

It also works great as a quick, afternoon, “pick-me-up”.

It’s all about adding. Adding an abundance of nutrients that help your body thrive.

I know it sounds very simple, and it should be.

So, let’s get started on making those smoothies! And not just any smoothies.

We are talking Marta’s alkaline-inspired smoothies– smoothies that will fill you up, don’t taste gross and will get you closer to your wellness goals, whether it’s losing some weight, feeling more energized, or helping your body stay in balance.

So What Makes the alkaline smoothie method I am just about to teach you so special?

-it’s full of vitamins and nutrients to help you look and feel amazing (we are talking that healthy glow around you), I believe that getting those smoothies in is one of the best anti-age treatments you can get.

-at the same time, they are very low in sugar – so that you don’t experience those annoying energy crashes

-they are rich in natural, plant-based protein to help you stay full for hours, they are also rich in good fats (that will not make you fat)

-you can sneak in greens or other superfoods (and what I recommend is easy to get)- you know all those superfoods you know are good for you, but you never remember to eat/drink

-many of those smoothies can be a proper meal replacement and can even be turned into a delicious soup (raw or slightly cooked)

-you can enjoy all kinds of taste, even spicy smoothies (one of my favorites!)

+ it’s a perfect daily goal, a little challenge to commit to, even if you are busy (I am!).

Making a smoothie is not as time-consuming as many people want it to be. I can easily make a badass alkaline-inspired smoothie in 5 minutes (or less)

So, how to make those little cuties (aka Alkaline-Inspired Smoothies)

Here’s my little template that will help you come up with super sexy alkaline smoothies:

1. Alkaline-friendly liquids

Personally, I get bored with smoothies made with water. I am a big fan of alkaline-friendly plant-based milks, or nut milks, such as almond milk or coconut milk (these are considered very alkaline). Sometimes, I also use gluten-free oat milk (for some variety), or, if I can find it- cashew milk or hazelnut milk. The bottom line is- choose whatever non-dairy option works best for You!

Sometimes, I also like to use herbal infusions, or tea, such as Roibos tea (it’s naturally sweet and rich in nutrients). Herbal teas taste great in smoothies! Coconut water is also amazing for smoothies (especially if you want to make a naturally sweet smoothie). You can also sue organic vegetable juice or a low-sugar fruit juice as a smoothie liquid.

2. Veggies, greens and low-sugar fruit (for example grapefruits) as your main ingredients.

Then, you can also add a bit of other fresh, seasonal fruit to taste (avoid if you are concerned about sugar). It all depends on your personal preferences.

If you want to keep it strictly alkaline, then focus on strictly alkaline fruits (aka fruits low in sugar), such as lemons, limes and grapefruits. Avocados and tomatoes are also fruits (and are considered alkaline fruits).

If you are more for a flexible-balanced approach and you don’t suffer from any medical condition where you must get rid of all forms of sugar, then feel free to add a bit of fresh, seasonal fruits. I like to add blueberries (great for anti-oxidants) and some oranges to my smoothies, especially green smoothies, to make them taste great.

I only stay away from fruit non-alkaline fruit (that is fruit that is not low in sugar) when I cleanse, which is a topic for another day!

3.Natural, plant-based protein

For example chia seeds, hemp seed protein, nuts and seeds (soaked almonds taste great in smoothies).

One of the smoothie mistakes I have made early on my wellness journey (as shared in this post), was that I wasn’t focusing on protein. I was making boring fruit smoothies loaded with sugar and always felt bloated.

By enriching your smoothies with healthy, natural protein, you can turn them into a delicious, healthy meal that will keep you full for hours. I have a smoothie for breakfast almost every day. It took me a while to get to this stage, but I did. I am here to tell you that you can do it too!

If you already are a smoothie monster- you already know the benefits. So keep going!

4.Herbs and spices

Such as cilantro, or even curry taste great in smoothies, especially oriental-style smoothies (will be sharing in my next posts for sure as I’m currently developing a ton of new recipes to share with You ). Himalayan salt also helps your veggie smoothies taste great. If you like sweet smoothies, go for stevia and cinnamon powder instead.

You can also use Organifi green powder that fuses 12 different superfoods and has a nice, natural sweet taste (unlike most green powders out there, it tastes delicious).

5.Good fats

For example avocado (so nice and creamy in smoothies!), coconut oil or cold-pressed organic olive oil. Flax seed or avocado oil also work great.

Coconut oil tastes great in all kinds of smoothies and makes them taste better.

Personally, I prefer to use avocado and olive oil for vegetable smoothies, or Spanish-gazpacho style smoothies, with some Mediterrean spices and Himalayan salt.

6.A little bit of water, if needed (depends on your desired consistency).

If you don’t like thick smoothies, or are running out of your nut milk, add a bit of water.

I recommend filtered water. Don’t use tap water or bottled water.

You are mich better off investing in a simple water pitcher. The brand I use is Alkanatur, and you can check them out on Amazon HERE.

Not only is bottled water unhealthy and bad for the enviornment, it can also get expensive, and you have to constantly remember to order more. I like simplicty. And this water pitcher thing really makes my water taste nice!

7. Any superfoods of your choice

For example maca, or Ashwagandha (or something else you already bought but keep forgetting to use). The above mentioned Organifi powder also works great!

I also recommend you start using ginger (I usually add 1-2 inches of fresh ginger to my smoothies), or turmeric. Can be fresh or in powder, but get in habit of making your smoothies as nutritious as possible!

+ Love and dedication. Blend with good energy and enjoy. Be proud of yourself for taking meaningful, inspired action.

Small actions lead to massive results.
