Following the positive feedback I got for my last Birchbox Review, I thought I would continue and review this month too! This month’s theme was ‘Mermaid Vibes’, which I absolutely adore as my favourite Disney princess is Ariel! The box is a gorgeous blue/teal design with gold detailing and along with the amazing products inside, I think this has become my favourite box so far!

Spectrum Collections –  FULL SIZED A05 Brush in Glam Clam RRP from *£59.99 for the set

The Spectrum brushes were last month’s Sneak Peek item so already I was very excited to receive this product. We were able to choose between this design or Bomb Shell, which was a simpler pink design. I chose this brush because it’s really colourful and channels that mermaid feel. As expected, the brush is super soft and gently tapered so it can be used for a variety of products. I also found it didn’t hold too much product which is always a bonus!

LOC – FULL SIZED One and Done Shadow Stick in Out Of Your Shell RRP *£8

My first experience of an eyeshadow stick and I was quite surprised. This colour is really shimmery and pigmented and could probably double as a faint highlighter. It feels very smooth on application so I would imagine it blends well too.

Number 4™ – Sugar Texturising Spray RRP *£20

This product claims to create those natural beach waves we are all searching for during the summer, without the crunchy feel you get with some other sprays. My hair is pretty temperamental and unruly so I wasn’t expecting this product to work as well as it did. Not quite luscious waves but definitely more of a beachy look than normal. Plus it smells sweets!

NUXE – Huile Prodigieuse® OR Multi-Usage Dry Oil Shimmer RRP from *£20

I’m not normally a big fan of these oils, but this product has a lovely shimmer and glow and looks great on sun-kissed skin. It can also be used as a highlighter for the ultimate summer glow and in your hair, but I wasn’t as keen on this.

St Tropez – Self Tan Express Bronzing Face Sheet Mask RRP *£15

This product I am not as pleased with. I am not someone who uses any tanning products and I am slightly scared to use this in case it makes me orange! Having seen that other people received a mud mask sample, I would have been much happier with that product, but I will one day be brave enough to try this (I think!)

Overall, I was so delighted with this month’s box, containing the ultimate mermaid products! I was a bit disappointed with the self tan mask as this is just not a product I would ever choose to use, but the other products more than made up for it. Next month, the sneak peek item is a full size Manna Kandar 3-in-1 blush, highlighter and eyeshadow that looks stunning, so I am very excited about that.

*RRPs correspond to full-size items which can be purchased from the Birchbox Shop.
