Montauk Hotel – “Sense of Place”

Montauk Hotel are a shimmering indie-pop act out of Dublin, whose new track “Sense of Place” features soaring vocals and a quaintly effective melody that takes a cue atmospherically and melodically from ’80s influences like The Pretenders, The Cure, and U2. Claudia Verdecchia’s emotive vocals work alongside a steady rhythm section and the jangly guitars of Shell Dooley, making “Sense of Place” a very solid release from this Dublin-based quartet.
