I was Woken up by a nightmare.
And woken up to the stillness of the night.
To oppressive silence.
No one to speak to.
No one to cry to.
All I had, soon as I looked at my phone, was breaking news and there was nothing I could do about that.
I believe that’s what we call; life.
People who tell you, “I’m here if you need to talk”, and yet, fail to fulfill that simplest task.
I believe that’s what we call; life.
Things happen to you, around you, near you and it’s simply.. LIFE.
So that’s that. Tonight, the only Sleep I’ll get is probably pretend sleep. But at least, my loved ones will be sleeping soundly.
