The red letter reveals Naxals planned Rajiv Gandhi Style Assassination of Narendra Modi. A letter is found in the house of a suspected Maoist. The plan was to assassinate Modi during one of his roadshows. The script was fully planned as per the “Rajiv Gandhi-type incident.”

The letter was found in the house of one of the culprits who was linked with the banned CPI (Maoist). A total of five persons were arrested. Four of them were arrested a day earlier of the incident. They are Rona Wilson (student of JNU), Dalit activist Sudhir Dhawale, Professor Shoma Sen, lawyer Surendra Gadling and social activists Mahesh Raut from Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur respectively. All of them are interlinked towards each other in connection with ‘Elgar Parishad’ which was involved in Bhima-Koregaon violence in Pune.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh said, “We are always concerned about our Prime Minister’s security. Maoists are just fighting a losing battle.” The letter was found in Rona Wilson’s house in Delhi who mentioned about the requirement of eight crores for procuring rifles such as M-4 and four lakhs rounds.

Prosecutor Ujjwala Pawar said, “We are thinking along the lines of another Rajiv Gandhi incident. It sounds suicidal and there is a chance that we might fail but the party must deliberate on our proposal.”

The investigator further said that the entire communication was seized from the laptop of Rona Wilson who was arrested during the Bhima-Koregaon incident. The letter further says “Modi has successfully established BJP Government in more than 15 states. If this continues, then it would mean immense trouble for the Maoist party on all fronts.”

Home Minister Rajnath Singh further said, “At present, the Maoist insurgency affects just 10 districts and it will end soon as has been done in the Northeast where insurgent violence has been contained and brought down by 85%.”

However, all the five culprits will be produced before the sessions court on Friday which remanded them in police custody till 14th June.

According to the police, the letter says, “We are thinking along the lines of another Rajiv Gandhi type incident. Targeting his roadshows could be an effective strategy. Modi led Hindu fascist regime in bulldozing its way into the lives of indigenous Adivasis.”

Whereas Congress is demanding a fair probe evidence into Bhima-Koregaon violence after the arrest of the five Dalit activists. Congress said that it is Modi’s old tactics to plant stories like this.

Sanjay Nirupam said, “I am not saying this is completely untrue but it has been Prime Minister Modi’s old tactic since he was chief minister. Whenever his popularity declines, news of an assassination plot is planted. So it should be probed how much is in it this time.”
