CD Projekt has announced that Cyberpunk 2077’s Update 2.02 will be coming soon, bringing a number of bug fixes and other improvements to the game. The update aims to address two major issues that players have been facing with the Phantom Liberty and Update 2.0 versions of the game.

One of the main fixes in Update 2.02 is related to skill progression passives. Some players were not receiving the passive buffs that were supposed to come with upgrading each skill level. CD Projekt will also be rebalancing the timers in courier missions, as players have been facing unrealistic time limits to complete these missions.

In addition to these fixes, CD Projekt Red has highlighted a few other key changes in Update 2.02. These include fixing the shutters blocking entry to Black Sapphire in the Run This Town mission and resolving an issue where cyberware could get downgraded to Tier 1 after updating the game.

Furthermore, the investigation continues for Xbox Series players who did not receive the Phantom Liberty preorder bonus of a Quadra Sport R-7 Vigilante. CD Projekt and Microsoft are working on a fix for this issue.

The Phantom Liberty expansion, released on September 26, brought significant changes to the game, such as a new perk system and improved AI. CD Projekt also introduced the option for players to skip the events of the paid expansion through certain dialogue options.

As we reported in our 9/10 review, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty marks a significant turning point for CD Projekt Red and the game’s future. With the release of Update 2.02, players can expect a more refined and enjoyable experience in Night City.
