The Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendras in Uttrakhand’s Udham Singh Nagar are proving to be of great help for the poor patients. So far, medicines worth 1 crore 37 lakh have been sold through these centres. Nearly all generic and non-generic medicines are being made available to the patients at 70% discount at the district Aushadhi Kendras. People of the district are getting direct benefit of this. This effort by the government is benefitting the people a lot and people are happily accepting it as well.

Since the opening of the Jan Aushadhi Kendra, people no longer have to run around to find medicines. Jyoti Karayat, a resident of the city feels that after the Jan Aushadhi Kendra has opened, the medicines now are available at much cheaper prices.

Five Jan Aushadhi Kendras have been opened so far in Udham Singh Nagar which have provided great relief to the residents of Udham Singh Nagar from expensive medicines.
