Joe Lacava has made his rounds this year caddying for Tiger, Steve Sticker, Patrick Cantlay, and occasionally gets back with Freddy Couples. The huge news last week was LaCava accepted a full-time gig with Patrick Cantlay.
It’s no secret Joe LaCava likes to stay busy, as he will be on the bag for young star Nelly Korda. He will have a spot on someone’s bag wherever he might desire to caddy for. In the world of caddies, LaCava is high-ranking.

You would never guess Joe is 68 by looking at him, but his impressive resume would do that to him. He has been on the bag for 28 PGA Tour Wins: 12 with Fred Couples, 11 with Tiger Woods, and 5 with Dustin Johnson.
He caddied for Fred for roughly 20 years before moving to Dustin Johnson, then to Tiger, and now to Patrick, with a few guys sprinkled in there as well for short stints. The interesting thing will be once Tiger is healed from his surgery if Joe LaCava will go back to Woods’ bag or stay steady with Cantlay.

However, this week he’s focused on getting Korda to cut her 6-month winless drought on the LPGA Tour. Korda has played extremely well without a win finishing Top 6 in six of seven events she has played this season.
She’s putting herself there on the weekend; it’s only a matter of time. The highly-experienced Joe LaCava fill-in this week may help her to break open the floodgates this season to go on a tear.
