Ingredients
- Coconuts shredded - 2cups
- Red chillies - 5
- curry leaves - 1 spring
- A large pinch of hing (asoefetida)
- Methi(fenugreek) seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Urad dal - 2tsp
- channa dhal - 2tsp
- Tamarind - amla size
- Salt to taste
- Heat some oil and add the dhals, curry leaves, hing, methi and red chillies.
- Fry till done.
- Add this to the coconut and tamarind and blend into a smooth paste.
- And finally add salt to taste.
