Weight Loss Diet for Vegetarians

For those of you who asked me for a vegetarian diet to lose weight, here it is
Hope it works for you. Please let me know your comments.


BREAKFAST
 
Choice 1: 2 medium chapatti + 1 cup subzi + 1 cup tea + 1/4th cup dhal
Choice 2: Sago porridge – ½ cup sago + 1 cup of skimmed milk + 1 whole fruit
Choice 3: Idli or dosa – 2 nos + cooked vegetables – ½ cup + 1 cup tea

SNACK

Choice 1: Baby carrots – 1 cup + 4 almonds or 3 walnut halves + 1 green tea
Choice 2: 1 medium peach or 1 orange + 4 almonds or 3 walnut halves +1 green tea
Choice 3: 2 medium cucumbers + 4 almonds or 3 walnut halves+ 1 green tea

LUNCH

Choice 1: 2 cups of cooked rice + 1 cup cooked vegetables + 1 cup of salad (½ cup sprouts + ½ cup raw vegetables + 1 cup of yoghurt low fat.
Choice 2: 3 thin chapathis+½ cup of peas carrot curry + Caesar salad – 1 cup or cooked spinach + ½ cup yoghurt (or made into home-made butter milk)

SNACK

Choice 1: !/2 cup skimmed milk + ½ apple + 4 almonds or 3 walnut halves
Choice 2: !/2 cup skimmed milk + ½ cup banana + 4 almonds or 3 walnut halves
Choice 3: !/2 cup skimmed milk + 3 dried apricots + 4 almonds or 3 walnut halves
 
DINNER
 
Choice 1: 2 medium thick chapathi + ½ cup Vegetables of choice + ½ cup dhal
Choice 2: 2 medium thick chapathi + ½ cup Chole cooked + ½ cup vegetable salad
Choice 3: 2 slice of wholemeal bread plain toast+ 1/2 cup of soya bean cooked+ 1 cup of veg salad.

SNACK

Choice 1: 1 cup of laban or skimmed milk+ ½ apple
Choice 2: 1 cup of laban or skimmed milk + ½ pear
Choice 3: 1 cup of laban or skimmed milk + 4 prunes
