In 2010 Nia made her acting debut as Anu in the Star Plus series Kaali-Ek Agnipariksha. In 2011, she gained notoriety with the television series Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai. For the TV series “Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai,” she earned the Star Parivaar Award and Indian Television Academy Award in 2012.
