Garmin has released Tactix Charlie, its latest multisport GPS watch. If you need a fully featured smartwatch to guide you during your workout, it may be a nice solution. Let’s have a look what features the wearable will bring us.

Garmin Tactix Charlie is an advanced and multi-purposed GPS smartwatch. The watchcase measures 2 x 2 x 0.7 inches and the watch weighs 12.2 ounces. As we can see from the images, the smartwatch shows off a tough and rugged appearance design defined by its black diamond-like carbon coated titanium bezel, black titanium rear cover and stainless steel buttons. Meanwhile, the watch is water-rated to 10 ATM (100 meters) and has an all-weather black silicone band, so it’s Idella companion for various workouts and outdoor activities. Of course, interchangeable design and optional watchbands ensure it can meet more personal styles.

The smartwatch comes equipped with full-color TOPO mapping optimized for at-a-glance navigation and location tracking. Using built-in navigation sensors including GPS, GLONASS, 3-axis compass, barometer, altimeter and gyroscope, so in addition to keeping you oriented and on course, the Tactix Charlie also provides more outdoor data.

Fitness tracker has been integrated into the smartwatch, which monitors your performance, training and recovery, and by downloading advanced workouts and training plans from Garmin Connect, it fits for various exercises. Its wrist-based heart rate monitor provides you more accurate fitness data. Moreover, the smartwatch also shows you notifications, emails, and text from connected smartphone with its 1.2″ high-res, sunlight-readable display with domed sapphire lens. In addition, its rechargeable battery offers up to 12 days of battery life in smartwatch mode, up to 20 hours in GPS mode or up to 35 hours in UltraTrac battery saver mode.
