What is The Spree Bar?

First things first: the Spree Bar isn’t your typical pod vape. It’s part disposable vape, part pod vape, taking the best aspects of each and doing away with the bad ones (unnecessary e-waste).

How it works is pretty cool too. You have pods which come in a range of flavors and these run on a rechargeable 650mAh type-c mod. You keep the mod and change the pods (hence its hybrid nature).

And each pod delivers 6000 puffs.

The system itself is closed, however, so you can ONLY use Spree Bar pods on the mod. In this sense, it is kind of like a JUUL or Blu vape, just with way more battery life and way more flavors and performance.

I’ve tried the entire range and the flavors are great. Exactly what you’d expect from a company like Charlie’s Chalk Dust and Pachamama, both of which make some of the best and tastiest e-liquids on the market.

Standouts for me were Blue Razz Ice, Strawberry Mango, Strawberry Apple Melon, and Blood Orange Peach. If I could only pick one flavor, it’d be Blue Razz Ice. Damn thing is tasty as hell.

How The Spree Bar Works

The Spree Bar – like disposable and pod vapes – is engineered to be simple to use. There’s no fiddling around with wicks, coils and/or external batteries.

You open a pack of Spree Bar pods, insert it onto the mod (battery section), and start vaping. It literally couldn’t be simpler. If you’re a beginner, this type of vape is a great place to start because you don’t have to worry about anything.

Just pick some pod flavors you like and you’re off to the races. And when you’re running low, just order some more.

Spree Bar Nicotine Strengths

When it comes to Nicotine strengths, Spree Bar does things rather differently. And this is its main party piece, its killer hook, the vape’s main USP.

The twist here is related to what’s inside the pods that the Spree Bar runs because it AIN’T nicotine in the sense you and I are familiar with.

No, it is something called Metatine, a synthetic form of nicotine that can potentially get around FDA regulations.

And each Spree Bar comes with 5% (5000mg) metatine which is about, I’d guess, 5% nicotine in usual nic salts strength. Basically, it’ll do the job – even for the heaviest of smokers.

What About Puffs?

Again, when you’re talking about ultra-portable, closed-system vapes the one question everybody has relates to how many puffs do I get?

The good news here is that the Spree Bar will deliver 6000 puffs per pod, bringing it well in-line with some of the best disposable vapes on the market right now.

How long will 6000 puffs last you? That kind of depends on your vaping habit. For me, this number of puffs will usually see me through an entire week (sometimes more).

What the hell is Metatine, you ask? Here’s a quick overview. I’ve tried to make it has simple to understand as possible:

Have you ever heard of something called 2-methyl-5-[(2S)-1-methylpyrrolidin-2-yl]pyridine? Well, it’s a bit of a mouthful, but it’s actually just another name for a chemical known as (S)-6-methyl nicotine.

Think of it like a nickname for someone you know. This chemical is unique enough to have its own identification number, which is CAS 13270-56-9.

Now, let’s talk about 6-methyl nicotine. This chemical is pretty similar to the nicotine you might have heard of, but it has a small twist in its structure.

Imagine nicotine as a puzzle, and in 6-methyl nicotine, one of the puzzle pieces is placed in a different spot. This spot is known as position 6, and the piece is called a methyl group.

There’s been some exciting development in how this 6-methyl nicotine is made. Scientists have come up with new methods, and these have been covered by recent patents.

One of these patents is owned by Shenhzen Zinwi Biotech, a big name in the e-liquid industry.

Speaking of Shenhzen Zinwi Biotech, they funded a study at Guangdong Pharmaceutical University. This study revealed some interesting facts about 6-methyl nicotine.

It turns out that this chemical is a bit more harmful to certain lung cells compared to regular nicotine.

But, and here’s the interesting part, it seems to be less aggressive in increasing the levels of certain proteins that are linked to lung cancer.

So, what does all this mean? The researchers are suggesting that e-cigarettes using 6-methyl nicotine, which is often shortened to 6-MN, might actually have some advantages over traditional e-cigarettes that use regular nicotine.

It’s like they’re saying this new type of nicotine might be a better option for e-cigarettes in the future.

The Spree Bar is available to buy right now in the US. I think it is also a US-exclusive product at the moment too, so if you’re outside the US you’ll have to wait for distribution to ramp up.

If you’re getting this vape, you’ll probably want to stock up on Spree Bar Flavor Pods too. That way, when your first Flavor Pod runs out – usually a week or so, in most cases – you won’t be left hanging.

I tested this product out but I haven’t yet formally published my review. I like it a lot, though. It is infinitely preferable to a disposable vape because it is A) cheaper to run in the longer term and B) better for the environment.

I think I’ll still be sticking to my current setup for the foreseeable, however, as I generally prefer pod vapes and the ability to use whatever vape juice I want.

But for beginners and current disposable vape users, the Spree Bar is 100% worth a look. There literally isn’t anything else quite like it on the market right now.
