Chromebooks are becoming the productivity users favorite devices these days, delivering amazing simplicity and ease of use. To be honest, most of us can’t be bothered with the advanced Windows systems that require updates and configuration, we just want an easy to use system that will be great for productivity. The Acer Chromebook R11 is a great example, with its minimalist design, tablet mode, lengthy battery life, and delivers an utterly smooth experience. The perfect Chromebook for frequent travelers.

The biggest selling point of the Acer Chromebook R11 is its portable size and lightweight, as the device weighs just 2.76-pound, and as I told you its pretty small as a whole. The Acer Chromebook R11 rocks a plastic build, and you would expect that the build quality is not up to par, on the contrary, this device feels extremely sturdy and durable. The only caveat that this body might have is that its white body picks up dirt and fingerprints, so I would invest in a nice microfiber cloth to keep in my laptop bag.

In terms of ports and connectivity, it doesn’t have tons of options, but they are enough for the price and size of it, as it comes with a USB 2.0 port, a USB 3.0 port, HDMI with HDCP support, a 3.5mm audio port, and an SD card slot. One of my favourite things about this device was it is soft and keyboard, that was spacy despite the size of the laptop, and the whole experience was a little different, but nice.

The device is equipped 11.6-inch 1366×768 resolution touch-screen display that could get pretty bright and colourful, as it managed to reproduce about 74 percent of the sRGB colour gamut, and it is worth mentioning that the colour accuracy is excellent, delivering a nice viewing experience.

The Acer Chromebook R11 is equipped with a quad-core Intel Celeron N3150 CPU for its performance, and it is coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, these numbers may not be much for today’s laptops, but thanks to the ultra optimized operating system, the whole experience is smooth and seamless, perfect for productivity.

If your life consists of frequent traveling, and you need a worthy companion, the Acer Chromebook R11 might be the perfect tool for you. Definitely one of the best budget chromebooks for traveling.
