Some of the outdoor activities at Shangri la Penang but not limited to, golf course, outdoor pool, tennis courts. It is also a family friendly resort with kids club and kids pool. Despite the fact that Shangri la Penang is not a new hotel, the property is still well kept and has been revamped. Spacious room with comfortable bed and pillows. Bathroom was clean and dry with bath tub and fresh towels. Assorted tea choices and speedy wifi connection. Except that visible white ants found on the study table. However service was prompt to addressing the issue. It also comes with a complimentary sumptuous breakfast and in-room food service. There is also a long stretch of restaurants and services outside Shangri la Penang.

It was an horrible experience when I sat on the chair, felt itchiness on my arms. Only to realise that plenty of white ants were spreading at the study table. Nevertheless, the staff was quick to resolve it fast with insect repellent.

We have booked Shangri la Penang through an online travel agency website and was given RM50 credit for in-room food services or dining at their restaurant. We had ordered a sandwich set and a dessert. The sandwich was tasty with ham, egg and salads. However the dessert was overly firm and sweet. Overall, Shangri la Penang is a fun filled activities resort where you can stay up the entire day.
