Yoga with Dani

Vinyasa Yoga is a style of Body movement that coordinates breathing with movement, creating FLOW. It is a way to deepen your practice and nourish your whole self.

What does it mean to say that Mind, Body, and Spirit are connected, after all?

It means that when you inhale deeply you not only inhale oxygen, which heals and nourishes you physically from inside, you also calm your heart rate. This begins to regulate hormone function, affecting your mood. You inhale peace. Your body interacts with oxygen to manufacture peace inside your body. The Mind, Body, and Spirit are working in synchronicity. When you exhale slowly you rid your body of carbon dioxide and other toxins. You release tension and stress. Your body becomes calm. While you focus your mind on your breath, synchronizing its rhythm with your body movements, you generate mindfulness. Mindfulness gives you a chance to focus on this basic healing function and rest. You are creating a break from the multitude of disruptive and challenging thoughts that you experience each day. Those thoughts can be exhausting, especially those internal critical thoughts that dictate what to be and what to do instead of being present. Those thoughts can interrupt your appreciation of where you and what occurs during each moment. Although you visit your mat to care for your physical body, you are more than a body. Yoga nourishes all of you. You deserve that moment to appreciate your breath, your body, your strength, and your soul.
