R. Kelly‘s problems have followed him throughout his career, and they aren’t stopping now.
The current, high-profile Chicago singer’s Trial on federal sex abuse charges has now been delayed until October after prosecutors revealed that authorities “very recently” discovered and subsequently seized a cache of over 100 electronic devices belonging to the artist. R. Kelly maintains his innocence and has pleaded not guilty to the updated 13 charges.
Those allegations tie in new evidence that stem from a possible new victim named “minor 6.” At the same time, Kelly’s lawyer Steve Greenberg told reporters “We expect that they’re not going to find anything incriminating.” All in all, Kelly’s Chicago federal trial has been pushed back from April 27th to October 13th. The singer’s Brooklyn trial is set to begin July 7th.
