UGC NET, CSIR NET & ICAR NET – Each of these Exams is Conducted in Various Subjects
As mentioned above, these 3 exams are different from each other, hence the subjects included in them differ too.

CSIR NET
In this exam there are overall 5 subjects, along with these subject wise exams, candidates have to give General Aptitude Paper which is compulsory for all the aspirants who writes for CSIR NET.

UGC NET
Till last year along with General Paper 1 there are 100 subjects in which candidates could apply. But from 2019 onwards, candidates can apply for 81 subjects only.

ICAR NET
ASRB ICAR NET is an online exam, which is conducted for 57 subjects. The standard of the exam is on par with the Master’s program.

Difference Between ICAR, UGC and CSIR NET in Terms of Selection Ratio
ICAR NET
Last year, 31,127 candidates appeared for the ASRB NET. Out of these, only 6,987 candidates qualified for the exam. i.e., 0.22 is the selection ratio.
UGC NET
After the result announcement of UGC NET 2018, it has been found that 68,1930 candidates have qualified in the exam this year. Check the stats of UGC NET below-
Number of candidates registered – 956837 Number of candidates appeared on both papers – 681930 Number of candidates qualified for eligibility for Assistant Professor – 44001 Candidates qualified for JRF & eligible for Assistant Professor – 3883The ratio of candidates who are eligible for post of Assistant Prof to the qualified candidates is 0.045 and the ratio of candidates who are eligible for JRF to the qualified candidates is 0.004.
