Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the Darwin T Turner Scholars Program, applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• Graduating high school seniors or individuals not previously enrolled in post-high school education at a college/university are eligible.
• The minimum cumulative grade point average required is 3.0 on an unweighted 4.0 scale or 3.2 on a weighted 4.0 scale.
• Applicants must be seeking admission to a baccalaureate degree program.

Maintaining Your Scholarship Status:

If accepted into the Darwin T. Turner Scholars Program, individuals must meet the following requirements:

• Students must complete at least 12 credit hours per semester (full time student)
• Maintaining a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 is expected.
• Active participation in all program seminars and activities (meetings, events, community service, etc.) throughout the year is mandatory.
• Fulfilling a minimum of thirty (30) community service hours is required.
• Weekly sign-ins at the Office of Ethnic Programs and Services (555 Steger) are obligatory.
• Completion of a diversity project is a necessary component.
• Meeting with an EPS staff member upon request is mandatory.
