I'm popping in before the week is out just to say a quick "hello!" and tell you about some completely different things I've been working on lately. Namely: Photographing events! As in professionally, not just snapping random shots for friends (although the jobs I've had so far have indeed been at the request of friends). All the shots featured in this post are from recent work. I didn't include any people shots here, for obvious reasons!
I've shied away from freelance photography offers in the past--mumbling "too busy", "not sure I can handle that", and all sorts of little excuses that boil down to "Ummmm...I'm too nervous to accept your offer!" And yet, deep down, I knew I could indeed do the jobs. So, I starting saying "yes" instead of "no." And I started having fun! (Fringe benefit.)
It got me to thinking: What else can I do that I didn't think I could do before? (And why do we sell ourselves short so often, anyway?)
Here's hoping you have a brave and beautiful weekend in which you tackle (at least) one new thing that you keep saying you can't do (but you know, deep down, that you can).
