We are hiring a reliable and skilled Maintenance Manager to join our soon-to-be-open hotel in Peterborough and contribute to the smooth operations of the hotel. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our property is well-maintained and provides a safe and comfortable environment for our guests. The hotel is being reopened in July after a temporary closure, so you will have lots of things to do.

Position: Maintenance Manager
Reports To: Group Director – Maintenance

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of the hotel premises to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly
• Perform general maintenance tasks, including but not limited to plumbing repairs, electrical work, painting, carpentry, and HVAC maintenance
• Respond to maintenance requests from guests and colleagues in a timely and efficient manner, resolving issues to their satisfaction.
• Carry out routine maintenance on equipment and machinery to ensure optimal functionality and longevity
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of maintenance tools, equipment, and storage areas
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to guests
• Comply with all safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself, colleagues, and guests
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and equipment inventory

Prerequisites

• Previous experience in a similar role or in a maintenance-related field is preferred
• A good working knowledge of plumbing and electrical works with a basic knowledge of carpentry and HVAC systems
• Ability to prioritise and multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks and lift heavy objects when required
• Flexibility to work on a rotating schedule, including weekends and evenings, as needed
• A commitment to delivering high-quality work and providing exceptional service to guests and colleagues
• Willingness to travel to other hotels when the need arises
