October is off to a great start with lots of opportunities for fast-food specials and promotions. While pumpkin spice gets a lot of attention during fall and everyone loves Oktoberfest, there’s nothing quite like the tricks and treats franchisors introduce for Halloween. During Spooky Season, witches, zombies and spiders are all the rage as fast-food franchisors get into the spirit with fun products and promotions. 

With a record-setting $12.2 billion expected to be spent this Halloween, franchisors can benefit from increased traffic and interest with Spooky Season marketing initiatives. Below is a sampling of fast-food franchise specials and promotions for Halloween 2023.

7-Eleven

Spooky Season has arrived at 7-Eleven. From October 30-31, 7Rewards and Speedy Rewards members can buy any large pizza and get another large pizza for free. Guests can also try the new MTN DEW PITCH BLACK Slurpee.

Baskin-Robbins

Who says Cake and Halloween don’t go together? Not Baskin-Robbins. This Spooky Season, fans of the ice cream franchise can enjoy ghoulishly good Halloween cakes, including Zombie Unicorn Cake (above), Halloween OREO Cake, Trixie the Ghost Cake, and Ghost Cake. Halloween-inspired ice cream flavors include REESE’S Peanut Butter Cup, Jamoca Almond Fudge, and Rocky Road.

Burger King

Burger King is getting in on the Halloween 2023 fun by releasing a limited-edition, glow-in-the-dark “Trick-or-Heat” bucket at select locations. Guests can take home the bucket with any purchase for $1. The new item is inspired by the popular fast-food franchise’s two ghost pepper menu additions: Ghost Pepper Whopper and Ghost Pepper Chicken Fries. Additionally, Royal Perks members can score a Ghost Pepper Whopper, a 4-piece Ghost Pepper Chicken Fry, small French fries, small drink and a Hershey Sundae Pie for $13 when using the app or website.

Dunkin’

The Spider Donut is back and bigger than ever at Dunkin’—and it’s not just a dessert. Customers can also buy a six-foot-tall Inflatable Spider Donut decoration for $99.99. The coffee and doughnut brand is also introducing a Chocolate and Orange Sprinkle takeover of the classic Chocolate, Vanilla and Strawberry Frosted doughnuts. 

Firehouse Subs

At Firehouse Subs, rewards members earn triple points on purchases made on October 30-31. This deal is valid for orders placed on the app, online or in-store.  

Krispy Kreme

Zoinks! Krispy Kreme is calling all members of the Mystery, Inc. gang to enjoy the limited-edition Scooby-Doo Halloween Dozen. These new Scooby Snacks include the Scooby Dooby-Doo Doughnut, Mystery Machine Doughnut, Spooky Monster Cookies N’ Kreme Doughnut, and Jinkies! Halloween Orange Sprinkle Doughnut. Fans can also indulge in the new Scooby-Doo Cookie Shake.

Krystal

Krystal is hosting a Halloween Costume Extravaganza this October 31. Guests who dress up at select locations can enjoy a buy-one-get-one-free deal on Krystals and Cheese Krystals for up to five per order. To ensure everyone’s safety, full costume face coverings and props are not allowed. 

McAlister’s Deli

In celebration of Spooky Season and Halloween 2023, McAlister’s Deli cooked up a new seasonal concoction: the Witch’s Brew. This lemonade drink is made with cane sugar, lemon juice, and caramel apple syrup.

McDonald’s

In celebration of Halloween 2023 and Spooky Season, McDonald’s is bringing back “Boo Buckets” as part of its Happy Meals at select locations. The four new Halloween designs include the Monster, Skeleton, Mummy and Vampire.

Nékter Juice Bar

Looking for a boost after running from witches, ghouls and goblins? The Nékter Juice Bar franchise has got you covered. Through October 31, three spook-tacular Halloween-themed items will be on the menu: the Frankenstein Smoothie, Smoothie of Darkness and Vampire Bowl. As an added treat, children wearing costumes on Halloween will get 50% off their order of one superfood smoothie or acai bowl.  

Papa Murphy’s

Halloween isn’t just for candy. In celebration of the fun holiday, Papa Murphy’s is bringing back Jack-O-Lantern Pizza through the end of the month.

TOUS les JOURS

Through October 31, the TOUS les JOURS franchise is offering a Halloween-themed collection of craveable confections. These seasonal treats include the Mummy Cake, Green Monster Cake, Orange Monster Cake, Halloween Cloud Cake, and Cookie & Cream Cheesecake. The French-Asian bakery café chain also added Halloween-themed eclairs, available in chocolate, coffee and vanilla flavors, to its seasonal lineup.
