For someone who enjoys nature, I have a soft corner for Mangroves as an ecosystem. I have consciously looked for these eco systems in several places and I was pleasantly surprised to note that these were literally in my backyard.

Being a regular visitor to the South Canara region, the discovery of the mangroves was quite by chance and now it is a place that I always visit. These are relatively clean mangroves and Kayaking and boating here ensure that you can see these beautiful natural ecosystems closely when you use these kayaks and boats.

I suggest you come here around sunrise as the mangroves have a magical golden hue with the morning rays of the sun. This is also the time to see birds, there are plenty and the guides are knowledgeable too.
