New Jeddah Water front Promenade(corniche..)- Part 2

The long Jeddah waterfront is divided into many plaza and this time we visited Al-Siyad plaza  and     Al-khalij plaza located exactly opposite to Sheraton hotel. The main attraction in these plaza are children play area, Full fledged body weight gymnasium, Perennial Olive Trees, Photo frame entrance to the Bay.

These waterfront plaza are kids friendly, housing well designed play area for children. The play area slides are designed resembling Rhino, Elephant shaped mini slides, School bus and globe themed play area. Children could easily spend hours together playing in the play area. Play area has rubber foam flooring hence no chance of children getting hurt.

There is a full fledged body weight gymnasium, with shoulder press, leg press, chest press, tread mill, back press, Abs builder etc... Fitness freaks can take advantage of the open air gym with zero cost. Few meters away from Gym, there is a swimming area which is under construction and will be completed soon. We can enjoy swimming once it is completed.

A leisurely walk for 50meters takes us to an area where there are three perennial Olive trees, origin from Spain. The trees are well barricaded to avoid any damage. Its a pleasant surprise to see olive trees in the waterfront. Those who haven't seen olive trees can have a close look at the olive trees.

Few meters stroll from the olive trees you can find the Red sea observation bay, which was once a fishing bay. Don't forget to take pictures in-front of the silver colored photo frame structures

One can get a fabulous glimpse of the fully illuminated high raised buildings located along the corniche road. There are many star hotels and resorts located very close to the water front.

The authorities has posted supervisors along the waterfront to help the public, in case if you need any help you can contact anyone of them. But it is extremely important that we remain safe and not cross any barricades or fence. Be reminded again Jeddah waterfront is extremely humid so carry plenty of water to keep you and your family hydrated specially during summer(hot and humid). There are few stalls selling water, juices, tea and coffee but to be on the safer side carry cold water with you.

Hope you enjoyed the blog article. Do visit the waterfront with your family and friends and give feedback on your experience. There are still many plaza to explore in Jeddah waterfront I will meet with new updates soon with another blog post
