Black Forest Trifle


Chocolate Sponge Cake - 1 cup cubed
Chopped Cherries  - 1/2 cup
Whipped Cream - 2 tblsp

For Chocolate Mousse Layer:

Milk Chocolate - 100g
Whipped Cream - 1/2 cup


Preparing Whipped Cream:

Whip the fresh cream together with the sugar and vanilla, until just thickened. 

For chocolate mousse:

Melt the the chocolate in a bowl, in the microwave or over a pan of simmering water. 

Then add cream and fold it slightly. Chill for 10 mins or longer.

 Transfer to a bowl and refrigerate until use.

Assembling the Trifle:

Arrange half the sponge cakes in the base of a large trifle.

Spoon half of the cherries over it. 

Then pour half of the chocolate mousse.

Spoon the whipped cream above it.

 Spoon over the remaining chocolate mousse above it.

Then add the cake sprinkles above it.
Or you can use as usual cake pieces above it.

Add the rest of the cherries. You can also Sprinkle with grated chocolate. 

Chill until ready to serve
