Molde

Tags: molde hotel ship

From Ålesund we drove to Molde, where we stayed two nights at hotel Seilet, the sail. The weather was not the best so we did not get to enjoy our view as much as we wanted.

Molde is called the city of roses and is famous in Norway for it’s jazz festival and football team.

Molde is a place I had visited a couple times before and is a little city that I enjoy. So we had a nice little stroll around the town.

When it was time to eat, I went for a lovely bacalao. And I finished with a strawberry daiquiri for dessert.

When we got back to the hotel, we saw on the news that a passenger Ship had lost it’s engine power and was headed towards shore not to far from where we were.

It was very windy out and one of the vessels sent out to help hit a rock. Luckily they managed to get the engine running again and the ship came in to shore very close to our hotel. We could see the ship and the helping vessels coming in. As it was very dark outside we could only see the lights.

The next day the wind had died down and we woke up to a beautiful rainbow.

Hope you have all enjoyed your weekend.
