Olden

After having spent a few days with our friends, we got in the car and headed north, on a Lovely sunny Sunday. Our destination of the day was Olden.

Olden is a village in the municipality of Stryn in Vestland county, Norway. Olden is located at the mouth of the Oldeelva river at the northern end of the Oldedalen valley on the southern shore of the Nordfjorden.

Olden is a major tourist attraction and in 2019 they had over 100 cruise ship arrivals, when we were there there was none, so we had a lovely view from our Hotel.

We stayed at Olden Fjorhotell, a cosy hotel with a lovely view.

It was a little late when we arrived, and I was a bit tired from the driving, so all we did was to go out to the local pub and restaurant for a meal and a beer brewed by the local brewery.

I had a lovely deer burger, but sadly I was too hungry to photograph it before it disappeared. The local lager was also a treat.

After the meal we walked back to the hotel before we headed to bed early to prepare for a very full day the day after.
